Whistleblowing
The whistleblowing procedure provides that those who disclose suspicions of abuse, other violations or illegal activities may use a confidential channel to reach an independent official. At OP Pohjola, we take suspected wrongdoings seriously and want to ensure that suspicions can be reported easily and with confidentiality.
What situations should I report?
We want you to blow the whistle on any wrongdoings you suspect to have taken place. Potential violations or wrongdoings include, among others, fraudulent, suspicious, dishonest, illegal or unethical actions or behaviour by an employee and other activities in breach of bylaws or regulations.
You can report suspicions anonymously through OP Pohjola whistleblowing channel. The reports are investigated by whistleblowing officers in Compliance. The reported suspicion need not be proved, but reports should always be made in good faith.
The whistleblowing channel is intended only for reporting suspected wrongdoings. For customer complaints or feedback please use respective channels.
Handling of reports and confidentiality
Our whistleblowing channel is anonymous, and it is a secure and encrypted service. Information that could be used to identify the whistleblower is not stored in the channel.
Reports received through the whistleblowing channel are handled by specially designated employees in OP Pohjola Compliance organization. They initiate the necessary investigation, and the handling is confidential. Confidentiality also applies in cases where the reporter discloses their identity.
After submitting a whistleblowing message, you will receive an anonymous username and password. By logging into this page after submitting your message, you can continue communicating on the matter with the investigator, offer additional information of your own volition, answer any follow-up questions and learn how investigations into the matter are proceeding.
All personal data will be deleted from the system as soon as the report processing allows it. The person who is the object of the report is not entitled to verify the information. OP Pohjola Data protection specialist may verify the information's compliance with the law.
