What is Sustainability-linked loan?

A Sustainability-linked loan (SLL) is designed to finance activities supporting your company’s sustainability targets.

It is a type of loan that incentivizes you to achieve company’s sustainability targets or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). KPIs are predetermined and achieving them impacts the loan's financial terms, such as the interest rate. 

How does it work?

The loan connects the terms of the loan, like interest rates, to how well you meets certain environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals or KPIs. If you improve the performance on these goals, you can get lower interest rates, leading to reduced financing expenses and giving you financial reason to focus on sustainability.

You will need to report annually on set targets.
