Latvian Companies Continue to Invest – OP Corporate Bank’s Loan Portfolio Reaches EUR 759 Million

OP Corporate Bank plc's loan portfolio in Latvia reached EUR 759 million in the first half of 2026, increasing by 9.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, while the volume of deposits grew by 32.4% to EUR 777 million. This reflects sustained investment activity among companies.

Latvian companies continue to actively implement development projects across various sectors of the economy this year, particularly in the energy, real estate, and manufacturing sectors. Investments are primarily directed towards increasing efficiency, developing new products, services and technologies, as well as expanding business operations. Bank financing continues to play a significant role in the implementation of these projects.

In the first half of 2026, OP Corporate Bank's total income in Latvia amounted to EUR 10.9 million, while the bank's operating expenses were EUR 7.2 million. The bank's profit before taxes in Latvia was EUR 2.1 million.

OP Corporate Bank plc results in the Baltics

OP Corporate Bank plc's operating results in the Baltics also reflect stable business activity and investments in the region. In the first half of 2026, the bank's loan portfolio reached EUR 3.4 billion, which is 10.3% higher than in the corresponding period last year, while customer deposits increased to EUR 2.1 billion, which is 32.9% more than a year earlier.

The bank's total income in the Baltics amounted to EUR 39.3 million, while the bank's operating expenses were EUR 21.8 million. OP Corporate Bank's Baltic segment profit before taxes was EUR 11.5 million. In the second quarter, OP Corporate Bank recognised a management overlay of EUR 5 million related to the credit process in the Baltic countries.

In the first half of 2026, the Group's loan portfolio reached EUR 101.1 billion, which is 1.4% higher than in the corresponding period last year. Deposit volumes also increased by 1.4%, reaching EUR 82.1 billion.

In the first half of this year, the Group's profit before taxes was EUR 831 million. The Group's total income amounted to EUR 2.139 billion, while the Group's operating expenses were EUR 1.273 billion.

OP Pohjola maintains strong liquidity and funding capabilities, and its Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio is 21.3%, which is 7.0 percentage points above the minimum requirement.
