The new 13-storey building is located at Arēnas iela 1 in Riga and comprises 84 apartments with two to five rooms. It is the first of four residential buildings that Merko mājas plans to develop as part of the Arena Garden Towers project.

“We are truly pleased to see that our long-standing client’s vision has become a reality and that the building has already become home to its residents. The Arena Garden Towers project developed by Merko mājas is a good example of how well-considered development can help create a modern urban environment and generate long-term value both for residents and for the development of Riga as a whole,” says Elmārs Prikšāns, General Manager of OP Corporate Bank Latvia branch.

The project places particular emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable technical solutions. The building meets Class A energy efficiency standards, with underfloor heating and individual heat recovery ventilation systems installed in the apartments. The building also uses energy pile technology, which enables renewable energy sources to be utilised during the transition periods between the heating and cooling seasons.

“With the opening of the first building, Arena Garden Towers is entering a new stage, as the development becomes home to its first residents. The strong interest from buyers and the fact that apartments in the first building are nearly sold out, together with high interest in homes in the second building, are important confirmation for us that we have created a living environment that meets the needs of today’s urban residents. At the same time, this demonstrates that there is demand for business-class residential projects in Riga and that people increasingly value not only location, but also the overall vision of a project, well-considered solutions and the everyday convenience they provide. This gives us confidence to continue what we have started and, step by step, bring our vision of a four-building residential development in Skanste to life,” says Roberts Rēboks, Member of the Management Board of Merko mājas.

Residents of the first Arena Garden Towers building have access to a 70 m² shared rooftop terrace, while a 393 m² enclosed, car-free courtyard has been created between the first two buildings, featuring a children’s playground, urban gardens and covered seating areas. The building also includes a shared space with a kitchen, designed both for gatherings among neighbours and for private events.

Overall, the Arena Garden Towers development will consist of four residential buildings, contributing to the continued development of Skanste as a multifunctional part of Riga’s urban environment.
