A sustainable apartment building in Lucavsala has been developed with financing from OP Corporate Bank plc
Real estate developer “Merko mājas” is creating a new residential project in Lucavsala, Riga, with a strong focus on sustainable and energy-efficient solutions. The first building of the “Lucavsala” project, financed by a loan of €4.023 million from OP Corporate Bank plc, has been completed and commissioned, with more than half of the apartments already sold or reserved.

“Lucavsala” is a residential project with an A-class energy efficiency rating, consisting of three buildings with a total of 590 apartments and six commercial spaces. The first building—a nine-story structure with 54 apartments—is finished, and the first residents will soon begin moving in.
“We are pleased to collaborate with a customer who is shaping the urban environment of the future—one where energy efficiency, proximity to nature, and high quality of life go hand in hand. The ‘Lucavsala’ project is a great example of how cooperation between the private and financial sectors can create sustainable value for both people and the environment,” says Elmārs Prikšāns, General Manager of OP Corporate Bank plc Latvia branch.
“Lucavsala represents our vision of a modern and sustainable living environment, where quality, energy efficiency, and long-lasting solutions are prioritized. In developing this project, we’ve considered people who are looking for a thoughtful and long-term valuable home. Thanks to close cooperation with a professional financial partner, this vision has become reality—the first residential building is completed and will soon become home to its first residents,” explains Roberts Rēboks, Board Member of “Merko mājas.”
The project offers housing in a unique location—on the bank of the Daugava River, in the heart of Riga. Here, one can enjoy both tranquility and the vibrant rhythm of the city, with convenient access to both the city center and Pārdaugava. The “Lucavsala” project is characterized by A-class energy efficiency, minimalism, durability, and thoughtful, accessible aesthetics.
